Home Made Go-Pro Camera Tray

I needed a reliable way to film our underwater adventures and I stumbled across the above video that someone made, and it inspired me to make my own home made Go Pro camera tray.  I used 1″ pvc pipe, two elbows and  a junction box along with some plumbers pipe glue and came up with my own version.  I added some old inflator tube rubber to the handles for better grip and I also completed the job with a bolt snap to secure it to a D ring when getting in and out of the boat. Overall it works very very well.  I just need to add lights to it.  I have also considered buying a commercially made version such as the “Sea Dragon” and I may still do that. But for now I’ll continue using my home made camera mount.  I’ve gotten some pretty funny looks when I take it to a dive site,  but honestly it works just as good as any of the $100.00 ones.  So far I’ve had about 20 dives with it and it’s pretty bullet proof from what I can tell. I thought that sea water would kill the glue but I can’t see any signs of that.  All together this cost me less then $10.
